so, do we go off chasing cat food that kitten may or may not be able to eat and that's over an hour away tomorrow just in case? they only have a handful of them in stock apparently, but it would be better than nothing? if he could even eat it ...

@lionelb oh absolutely. but the food we ordered won't turn up till mid week, and given that he's feeling sick and has so many allergies ...

(this fussiness comes on the back of a stomach upset, and he has intestinal issues, so it's not as simple as just him being fussy, alas.)

we're just trying to get through the week-end really.

@lionelb no worries! mercifully it's not quite as expensive here, but also we've had terrible experiences with vets here (apart from the one we saw most recently, who seemed ok?), but yes. we have very little money and what they tend to do is suggest vet food, but he's allergic to it all!

we'll see how we go ...

@moonrabbit @lionelb Our cat was allergic to fish & fish products - you'd find those in the majority of cat foods including 'meat' sachets!

@MikeFromLFE @lionelb it's SO frustrating. he's allergic to chicken (along with about 10 other things, most fish included), and chicken is in almost every cat food. it's everywhere!

@lionelb @MikeFromLFE allergic! or at least he was ... we haven't tried it for awhile though. as for dried, i have not, no, but we'd need to soften it somehow given his digestion is so weak. but i'll look into it, tyvm!

Be careful of the salt content - I think some biltong is salted as well as air dried. (Some not all)
