The Financial Times just released this excellent explainer video on space debris: https://channels.ft.com/en/tech/the-runaway-debris-threat-to-space-technology/
They did a really great job covering all the issues with space debris (though in my opinion, atmospheric pollution is the biggest, scariest effect here and that was mentioned but not emphasized).
I have to say, it's pretty neat to be interviewed in the same video as the head of the ESA space debris office and the director of UNOOSA.
