That stretch of sunny weather we have been enjoying in the #PNW sure has been nice. I could feel warmth from the sun working on projects outside at our place. But now you can get ready to kiss all that goodbye.

Map always shows a running estimate from NOAA of water-falling-to-earth over next 7 days. Moisture expected to start by this evening. In a few days even the #Seattle area lowlands may see some snow.

Looks like northern California hits the rain/snow jackpot.

Just seeing mention of Puget Sound snow in the "Short Term: today through Saturday" output from the Deep Weather app on my iPhone

No pretty pictures, just the complied text of the NWS Forecast Discussion for your local forecast area

Seeing the magic words: "Frazier River outflow" and "a fairly potent Puget Sound convergence zone Friday night into Saturday morning"

From that point on it only gets colder, with more moisture

And the magic "S" word

@FinchHaven @ai6yr We live in north part of King County and sometimes the convergence zone sets up a bit to the south of its more usual location. We then get a taste of whatever weather is happening in that band.

Pro tip: If snow is forecast for the Puget Sound lowland and you need groceries/gas then it is a good idea to do those errands the day before the day before.

Yeah, was just rechecking that and I'm good

Went to the store and the pharmacy and the Post Office Tuesday and I'm good to go

Also I live close into town (Vashon Island) and could actually walk to any place I really needed to get to
