BlueSky has reached 30 million victims.

It is just the next big tech silo. The federated aspect of it is a lie - can't really create an instance for it. Only partial - and even that is broken beyond repair.

I am preaching to the the choir here: but please, please try to raise awareness with your beloved ones and help them make the jump to the Fediverse.

Silos will eventually enshittify. It isn't a question of if, it is a question of when.

@h3artbl33d even when faced with an image straight from an ATproto site showing the bottleneck of their infrastructure, BlueSky advocates claim it's decentralized.🤦‍♂️

@h3artbl33d I'm still hoping they do more work on activityhub Integration. The bridge is a bit difficult to set up and just hard enough that most users are not going to go through the hassle.

@h3artbl33d

I was naive and attempted to do that with my friends who went to foxtrot bravo FB & later to WA (what's"**)

I'm a wise man now who just tells them that I am on secured apps where they can reach me, otherwise they have to make expensive GSM calls. I never run those silly walled apps on production devices

@sirber

It is never too late to switch, in my opinion. It does surprise me a bit how people continue to fall in the solo trap again and again.
