Okay, I think I finally understand passkeys enough to have an informed opinion on disliking them. Someone please tell me if I'm wrong about this:

Like, no offense, but I am much more likely to momentarily leave my browser or phone in an unlocked state than my password manager.
Nevermind that I absolutely don't trust Google or Mozilla with the security of all my passwords. Hell, I barely trust my self-hosted and locked-down Vaultwarden setup.
NeverMIND how this might affect non-technical people.

This seems like a GREAT way to get anyone involved in movement work to trust all their passwords to organizations and software that will immediately give them up to the police when asked.
