thinking about buying #sublimetext. Still have not found a "good" Editor for Linux. Kate is qt and geany is a bit old. vscode is well ... not mine

@inlovewithpda i wish there would be @panic nova for linux x.x it is a coded in swift, right? wouldn't be a port possible?! x)

i mostly use kate or micro via terminal :/

@inlovewithpda We spoke several times in our podcast about sublime text. It is my favourite editor under macOS. I have a problem to use ST with FreeBSD, but with Linux no problem. Try it first it is not a must have to buy.

@inlovewithpda I still have and cherish my Sublime Text license I got back with ST2. Still my daily driver editor on all systems (ST4 these days ofc).

@inlovewithpda I daily drive sublime text and love it. Highly recommended. Ben Frain does a Udemy course that’s often on sale and well worth it to get it configured the way you like.

@inlovewithpda I've never once regretted paying for Sublime Text. It was my daily driver when I was a coder and it will be again should I ever get back to that work. These days I only edit text in short bursts and usually via SSH so nvim works.

@inlovewithpda Personally I do not need any other editor then vim. Since you like tiling you should feel home: mouse not required. In case you want plugins, LSPs, etc you can use neovim.

@inlovewithpda Never regretted my Sublime Text (nor Sublime Merge) licenses I bought during the past decade, I use these tools daily and really like them. And imho it's always good to support a small independent company and their few devs.
