I have this project of making a Greek mythology inspired deck of card. For now, I'm trying to make a french deck (your regular 52 cards). Later I will do a 72 cards French Tarot deck (playing deck, not for fortune telling).
How would you divide the 12 Olympians into the 12 face cards?

First of all, there are 13 Olympians depending on if you count Hestia or Dionysus:
Zeus, Hera, Hestia, Poseidon, Demeter, Apollo, Artemis, Aphrodite, Hephaestus, (Dionysus), Ares, Athena and Hermes
If you add Hades, that makes 14, meaning I can place Hermes and Dionysus on the joker cards.

so my idea is to do in order of K, Q, J
Spades, the throuple drama: Ares, Aphrodite, Hephaestus
Heart, the righteous: Zeus, Hera, Athena or Hestia
Clubs, the underworld: Hades, Persephone, Demeter
Diamonds, nature: Apollo, Artemis, Poseidon
What do y'all think?

I could flip Aphrodite and Athena to make spades about war/military and heart about love
Technically, Demeter is nature related so she could go in diamonds as well.
Zeus, Hera and Demeter usually had temples dedicated to them as a trinity. They could be their own suite as well.
Aphrodite needs to be the queen of hearts.
Too many options... I'm lost.

@psoul without having looked at yours, I did the following:
The home: Zeus, Hera, Hestia
Nature: Poseidon, Demeter, Artemis
Love and beauty: Apollo, Aphrodite, Hermes
War and civilization: Ares, Athena, Hephasteus
Not sure what the connotations would be for the classic deck of cards, but for tarot I would do pentacles, wands, cups, swords
