It's going to be very interesting to see how the US plans to rebuild houses in LA following the fires, if they slap a 25% tariff on Canadian softwood.

Still, if they plant some trees now they should be ready in, oh, 30 years.

Trump's tariffs will end up screwing Americans who voted for him. Perhaps he should try reading a book to see how they actually work.

@RobHadley all wood will be expensive if they slap a tariff on Canadian wood.

In Norway the govt. slapped a 200% tariff on imported cheese. One kilo of Swiss Gruyère will set you back $80.

A kilo of local “equivalent” cheese that previously was $16, are now $73.
