It's going to be very interesting to see how the US plans to rebuild houses in LA following the fires, if they slap a 25% tariff on Canadian softwood.

Still, if they plant some trees now they should be ready in, oh, 30 years.

Trump's tariffs will end up screwing Americans who voted for him. Perhaps he should try reading a book to see how they actually work.

Trump's lies about Canadian tax overlook the fact that our health insurance is included and all Canadians are fully covered. Additionally, no Canadian in their right mind would trade Canadian Citizenship for US citizenship. When we visit other countries we are welcomed. The rapist-elect might want to keep that in mind.

A lot of Americans might like to become part of a new Southern province of Canada. Universal healthcare, greater life expectancy, lower infant mortality, gun control, and an education system that actually educates and creates literate young adults. It's a good place to start. That and the fact that we're not ruled by President Musk, his tubby sidekick and a bunch of lobbyists.

We should share this idea with our US neighbours. Then we can teach them how to spell.

You have my sympathy. I genuinely feel for you. How Americans fail to see some basic ideas I just can't fathom. Healthcare can be free. Firearms can be controlled. Education matters. Most of all how a country with high infant mortality, lower life expectancy than other leading countries and a greater prison population than any other country can consider itself a leading country is beyond me.
