I'm grown up enough to accept that not everyone agrees with me. While I think that the philosophy of the Right is a bit cruel, I accept that it is defensible: maybe people would work harder with less govt support. Maybe the economy is like a pie that we must protect from immigrants.
What I cannot accept is the utter pettiness - destroying DEI, renaming mountains and gulfs, taunting LGBTQI+ citizens.
None of that is true conservatism. It's just evil.

@davidnjoku Fair!
And yet! Because I am still a three-year old at heart, I feel compelled to ask: why? Why do people need to work harder? Who needs to work harder? Who benefits when the 'right' people do the 'correct' amount of hard work?
I take your point, and agree; yet feel compelled to note that the arguments put forward by the right are the hare-brained Randian schemes of a self-centered 13-year old, printed on the flimsiest of tissue paper, soon to be sneezed upon.

@RufusJCooter You're totally right. The underlying philosophy of both sides of the argument is that the only purpose of man is to slave and be 'productive'.
It's bullshit.
