SELFHOST WIKIPEDIA: Institutions of truth and knowledge are under attack as Bigtech continues to simp to fascism. And they are setting the stage for the mass erasure of identities, bodies, and history accuracies. And of course, they started with trans people.
Now more than ever, we need preserve knowledge and the truth, digital or otherwise. In that same vein, we also need to recognise the fragility of the platforms were using especially under the pressures of external censorship and manipulation. This is why I decided to self-host #Wikipedia.

@queserasera Great blog, Jean! Having Wikipedia locally would be nice. And it's not as large of a file as I thought it would be. I also saw your post on SearXNG. I've been using a public instance for quite some time. A long time ago I tried installing it locally but failed to get it to work. I'll try your method next time I'm at my desktop. Thanks!
