So I'm not out at work. I work from home. I could stay closeted at work for a long time maybe.

Is it worth it to tell my work about me being trans now? Or fuck them HR only protects the company, only bad things could happen.

My MegaCorp™ hasn't dropped it's DEI initiatives. And likely wont, at least not quickly.

One particular worry of mine is work travel, and being away from home and my RealID and Passport being canceled/suspended and being fucking stuck. Sorta don't want to call HR that day and out myself, but that might not be so bad.

Actually if that happened I'd probably just go rogue and use the corporate card to rent a car, drive it and maybe not even return it.

@ElsaPreme Is there someone at work you do trust enough to ask them?

I am not good with behaving in a corporate situation (part of why I left) but I've seen it work where you ask the supervisor or manager who knows the politics of the organization better, and is willing to talk to you outside of "The System" for how the system will react.

If you're very, very lucky, someone who knows someone who is in HR who can quietly go correct your files so they've always said your appropriate gender.

I'm not really worried about the culture at work, it's probably as friendly you can get at a MegaCorp™ honestly.

I've been here a long time, so not sure others would have a better pulse, maybe.

Highly doubtful my MegaCorp™ has any way for the last bit of stuff to happen. Everything's going to be documented and have safeguards that it happens by the book, whatever that is.

I do know there are out trans people working at my MegaCorp™ already. I just don't know those people unfortunately.
