Anyone have opinions on:

Mailbox (dot) org

Mailfence (dot) com

Fastmail (dot) com

As email providers? Or other recommendations. I don't need (or particularly want) encryption or what have you for email, it's a lost cause. I just need IMAP, and custom domains. If they have 5+ inbox family plans that's a little bit of a bonus but not really necessary at the moment.

Wouldn't it be cool if I could work from anywhere in the world, and my employer thought I was still working from inside my city?

Time for me to test some VPN shenanigans.

Actually does this work? I setup my home router (or a friends) to host a VPN [this is my city IP]. Setup my other traveling router to push all network traffic through the home VPN. Connect my work computer through my traveling router, and use AnyConnect like I normally do.

Basically route my corporate VPN through my own VPN. So corporate always sees an IP address that's close to my employment address.

So I'm not out at work. I work from home. I could stay closeted at work for a long time maybe.

Is it worth it to tell my work about me being trans now? Or fuck them HR only protects the company, only bad things could happen.

My MegaCorp™ hasn't dropped it's DEI initiatives. And likely wont, at least not quickly.

One particular worry of mine is work travel, and being away from home and my RealID and Passport being canceled/suspended and being fucking stuck. Sorta don't want to call HR that day and out myself, but that might not be so bad.

Actually if that happened I'd probably just go rogue and use the corporate card to rent a car, drive it and maybe not even return it.

My city gets tons of Federal dollars. My state gets tons of Federal dollars. Everywhere I go outside my house is covered by the Civil Rights Act.

There isn't any targeting here. No slow implementation. No wait and see. It's omnipresent from day 1.

I love streaming services that advertise 4k ultra UHD HDR super magic pixel eye candy. Then give you garbage bit rate chock full of compression artifacts and noise.

It's Disney this time but Discovery (HBO) is the absolute worst with garbage compression.
