Why are hospitals all seemingly built in manner which prevents mobile phone signal? Stuck on EDGE.

@nowster @noodles yeah, the same probably happens in other buildings, but of you spend most of the time at work, you're probably connected to the WiFi so you don't really notice unless you get SMS.

I recall being in hospitals and them requesting no cellphone use for fear of interference with equipment, something like airplanes. This was definitely a long time ago.

@elithebearded Today I was just sitting in reception waiting for a friend. Could see the outside world through a large glass window, in a fairly new building (compared to most NI hospital buildings). Still had minimal coverage.

Last time I was in Aberdeen royal infirmary I had to pay for WiFi but was probs 10 years ago. So things probably have progressed hopefully.
