Toot

Why would #God hate Patrick, you ask?

Easy. I came up with this thing called Garbage Day, which I originally would sing to the tune of the chorus from Jesus Christ Superstar. I love that musical unironically I would sing it to taunt God for the Divine inaction in terms of Bullshit and Bad Shit.

Bad Shit? Murder, rape, famine, and disasters of every kind.

Bullshit? Did you lose $5, stub your toe, misplace a favourite pair of socks?

Patrick, you didn't invent Theodicy you know? Duh, asshole.

Now I just angry pray at God, pointing out how sad it is that God seems so abjectly weak in the face of the evil in the world.

"Gee, God, wow, boy does it look like you are totally uncaring about the plight of people on this planet and just seem like a total assclown! Wow, I bet the divine plan's gotta be really good to want to look like that short-term."

Or I will acknowledge Garbage Day by pointing out that it really does seem stronger and more powerful than God, and that's weird.

I better hope God is actually forgiving. But on the other hand, what can God actually accuse me of that God isn't guilty of, at much worse scales, Himself?

That's my answer to #Theodicy that God is guiltier than you of every bad thing you've done, so God has to absolutely forgive everyone of everything they did bad because it's much more monstrous of a God with near infinite power to spend fractions on fixing the world when we humans have near no power and spend huge amounts on that project.

"Patrick, you seem to actually believe God is kinda sorta maybe more than a little evil and it doesn't bring you any comfort at all, so why is it you believe in God again?"

I think it's hardwired in my brain somehow.

@PatrickoftheG It took me two years to de-convert from Christianity because it was very strictly enforced on me as a kid and a teenager, and that programming just lingered in the back of my mind reminding me that Hell is a logical possibility. (Though not a probability.)

I'm glad to be free of that. If God is out there, they are the cosmic equivalent of a mean eight year-old burning ants with a magnifying glass.

@FlashMobOfOne Absentee LandLord really. I lost my religion I think somewhere in my high school years, as in the organized part of religion but everything else is somehow still sticking on.
