We went to the vet and got a clean bill of health. There was a disagreement about going at all, but bribery worked wonders. Now we are listening to the opinions of the one who needed to see the vet and paying more bribes!

I went to the grocery store (before sunrise, the only time I go anywhere), and saw a black cat creeping about in the -10 C (14 F) cold. Probably the same black cat I saw last time I went out for groceries. Now I think I'll just lay down and be exhausted all day ...

Aw thanks. I just try to keep up. Fashion is mandatory in this town for some reason I've never been able to understand.

Maybe because everyone has to walk around where a few hundred or even thousand people might see you each day. And putting in zero effort is its own kind of statement (one I can endorse and respect at times.)

@alexwild Living in Europe: I wonder how consistently democratically thinking people in the USA will go into resistance mode from tomorrow, whether European media will clearly name fascism or go on their knees, and how the rest of the world will protect itself against the convicted felon and his gang.

@alexwild cycled 4.5km to my dentist, and then back, at -17 degrees Celsius (1 degree F). That's my personal best qua cold temp. cycling.
