First impression after 20m:

Everyone’s mumbling and it’s very slow.

(I was expecting it to be slow. I can only watch slow films if I’m ill, so it’s kind of the point)

@mattgrayyes under no circumstance should you watch The Barber Of Siberia. I think after about 2 hours the first bit of plot started to happen.

I have watched a few odd films in my life, but that was the slowest.

@mattgrayyes this is why i always use / request subtitles

so many movies have this issue where i just cant understand the speakers

part of it is because of my neurodivergency and speech processing issues, but its still so much worse in films compared to real life that there must be another factor

@stella@wetdry.world @mattgrayyes@chaos.social I think it's because they mix the audio weirdly, they make the voices quieter and the background louder, no idea why, it just makes it hard to understand
