I want my "Caps Lock" key to be my "Control" key, but also to be my "Escape" key, and to just magically know which one I want to be each time I press it.

I can do that!

QMK keyboards can distinguish between short taps (ESC), long holds (say, ENTER), and using a key in combination with others (Control).

@Chip_Unicorn @tilton Allegedly my Keychron K keyboards can do something like that, too. They are tagged as "QMK/Via", although only the Q & V series are directly supported.
