Got setup for my first session with the Intrepid enlarger last week. I arrived at a passable contact sheet (my first), and even made a few 5x7 prints!
A lot of room for improvement in both process and product, but overall I'm pleased with the results and learned a ton.
There is something incredibly satisfying holding a physical print that you've teased into existence.

@rho congrats! The intrepid definitely has a lot of compromises. I have a bit list of tweaks/considerations that I should really write up. e.g.
I quite fancy getting The Naked Photographer's new copy stand, leveling the head using a tripod every time is a PITA

@tmcfarlane Thanks!
I've had my eye on that copy stand as well. His last video really sold me on it, and my biggest gripe at the moment is fiddling with that thing on a tripod.
I did take your advice and flipped the center post of the tripod upside down. It seemed to really help with stability.
Thank you again for all the pointers!

@rho his little keyboard system looks nice too... though I don't really struggle swapping lenses.
I'm wondering if that stand could support an intrepid 4x5 for enlarging too (I don't think it would cope with my 3kg MPP)

@tmcfarlane It looks pretty solid, but I imagine that'd be pushing it. ๐
