This morning I stood up a simple caddy server on my LAN to reverse proxy local subdomains to other local services.
Caddy is something I've used for years now, but every time I'm delighted by its simplicity and utility. It really is a joy to work with.

Got setup for my first session with the Intrepid enlarger last week. I arrived at a passable contact sheet (my first), and even made a few 5x7 prints!
A lot of room for improvement in both process and product, but overall I'm pleased with the results and learned a ton.
There is something incredibly satisfying holding a physical print that you've teased into existence.

[#]WavyWednesday made it to my timeline today, and an image I made over the summer came to mind.
The layered pattern of the walls of a 3d printed concrete structure caught my eye so I got close using a little Agfa Isolette II folding camera and Illford HP5.

The time had come to replace an old set of garden stairs. I'm pleased with the minimal design of this set, and hopefully they will last another 7-8 years (or longer!)

Found out one of my favorite haunts, Black Star Co-op Pub and Brewery, is closing its doors for good. It was a member-owned cooperative brewpub that paid their staff a living wage, had great food, tasty beer, and good vibes.
I was at the opening party 15 years ago and have had many good memories there in the time since. It will be missed.

Pretty sure the scanning mechanism in the lid of my Epson v600 scanner is broken, meaning I can no longer scan negatives (the only thing I really use the scanner for).
It still seems to function as a document scanner, so I'm looking at this as an opportunity to dive into the darkroom and learn to make prints.

Successfully updated a little hometown server I run to v4.2.10+hometown-1.1.1
.
This was the big jump to catch up to Mastodon 4.2.x and involved some migrations, so I was a little nervous.
https://github.com/hometown-fork/hometown/releases/tag/v4.2.10%2Bhometown-1.1.1
Happy to say things went smoothly, the only hiccup was having to re-precompile the Ruby assets and restart mastodon-web after everything was done.
$> RAILS_ENV=production bundle exec rails assets:clobber assets:precompile

A beautiful clear day allowed me to get out and try and adjust the rangefinder of this camera's rangefinder.
The top cover was simple to remove exposing the rangefinder adjustment screw.
Turning the focus to infinity and pointing the range finder at a distant object I was able to turn the adjustment screw until the images aligned.
Now to put another test roll through it to see if the focus matches.

Playing around with a potential setup for the Intrepid Enlarger. The tripod is not ideal, but I think it will work until I can get my hands on a proper copy stand.

Over the last few years my brother has developed a deep interest in native plants, ecology, and gardening.
So now, the occasions we see each other have turned into small seed swaps, garden tours, and conversations about cool plants, fungi, insects, birds, reptiles, and generally the life we've seen and appreciated.
It's been a great development, and time I cherish. ๐ฑ

Picked up a 4 pack of "The Man: Post Pandemic Pilsner" from Lazarus Brewing in Austin, TX.
Light and crisp with a low ABV (4.2%) makes for nice easy drinker.
