I was thinking of going on a long bike ride in the east bay but my knee is slightly unhappy so trying to think of some good smaller bike rides in the east bay that also I haven't done before

I've also been trying to make a map of car free routes in the east bay that I have/haven't biked so I can easily see them at a glance. Because I just had a list of them and I kept forgetting where the various distant east bay suburbs are

I'm not sure what software is good for that purpose but it definitely isn't Felt

I ended up just biking around SF instead. I went to SFMOMA and learned that the bike lockers downtown do, strictly speaking work, and maybe given that they're 5 cents an hour I shouldn't complain nearly as much as I want to

I didn't really get the Yayoi Kusama exhibit, other than as a means to take photos for social media (here you go). I did like the American Sublime exhibit. The SECA award exhibit, which is free, was also pretty cool. There was also a collection of older photos of SF that I liked.

I biked home via Embarcadero, but on a whim went a little farther to Fort Point, where I haven't been in many years. It's pretty cool for fans of abandoned buildings. And I guess US history, I skipped the exhibits. Also gave me a lot more photos of the golden gate bridge from unusual angles for my pixelfed (which right now I am posting photos of the golden gate bridge or the sutro tower to)

@sanae I like the personal Strava heat map (paid feature) to see where I've been but there's also things like streetferret.com, wandrer.earth, squadrats.com.

I don't know if any of those tools let you save custom roads/areas or are just general "complete every road" apps.

You can get a vector tile layer of the general Strava heat map, I haven't tried using my personal map - ex https://alonsalant.medium.com/how-to-strava-heatmap-in-caltopo-b87d0ede763d

@akadouri yeah mostly I'm looking to save several routes that I haven't done before. I don't think strava or wandrer will do that but maybe the other ones might

@sanae Bay if looking for suggestions, Bay trail stuff around Fremont or Coliseum would be short n sweet.
