@floehopper hmm. I think you'd need to share the specifics for me to debug. I can't replicate an error with some simple examples. That said, the only value the liquid templating was really built to support was "due".

@floehopper turns out it was simply because your string was too long to be stored in the database! (the task template name column was 255 characters).
So I can fix that.
Rendering the {% assign %} stuff is a bit ugly, I'll try to tidy that up too.
