A few weeks ago, we spoke to @jeremysmithco and @bjessbrown at @indierails about our shared inbox app, Jelly, and about how @goodenoughllc works. It was fun!

If you help run a #usergroup (like @lrug) and use email as part of your process, I and my colleagues at @goodenoughllc want to see if #Jelly can help make your life much, much easier.
Plus, if you're willing to talk to us, there's a decent chance we can offer you a very generous discount.

This is also my first time using #GoodJob (thanks @bensheldon!) and I've really enjoyed using it too.
No shade on Sidekiq, but running GoodJob async in a thread while we prototype is simply wonderful developer ergonomics, as well as saving on hosting costs in these early days.

One thing I've really enjoyed while building https://letsjelly.com is working on a clean #Rails & #Stimulus stack.
I was worried for a while that not learning #React was going to end up biting me, but I've found Stimulus to be both easy to get into, and a powerful way to reuse JS around and between projects.

I’ve wanted this to exist for over a decade!
ZenDesk, HelpScout, Front, Missive… they’re all too much software, and too expensive for small teams who don’t see email as just grinding through customer support tickets.
Finally, I got to build it with @goodenoughllc — a simple but powerful shared inbox for the rest of us.

@flavorjones I have a Loofah question which I'm hoping you can point me in the right direction towards solving.
Is there a resource/list anywhere that explains why some CSS properties are considered unsafe and are stripped from style
attributes in tags?
For context, I'm seeing min-width
is stripped, and I can see that's not present in the Loofah list of allowed properties, but I'd love to understand why, and also be able to figure out the "why" answer for any other properties
Thanks!

Mastodon database sizes are like snowballs rolling down an infinite mountain.
Is it better to preserve our local instance archive of the Fediverse as we see it?
Or to prune that data and hope the original instances stay available?

I've suspended lots of accounts matching the spam pattern.
If the wave continues, I think I'll have no choice but to alter federation with instances that are spamming us. it's still whack-a-mole but with a bigger hammer 😞
