Here’s a thought: Different fediverse platforms are interoperable. For example, you can view mastodon accounts on Pixelfed and vice versa.
Which leads me to wonder why not have one fedi server that can post different types of content. Eg text/image/vertical video.
And then in the fedi client you can choose what type of content you want to see. Or what viewer mode you want to use?
That way you can follow a person once. And not have to follow their masto, Pixelfed, loops, wordpress(lol) etc.

@mattgrayyes Yes, agree. One of the things turning me off using Pixelfed is that I don’t want to rebuild a social graph all over again just for pictures. Surely that’s what the fediverse is for - one account, rather than splintering accounts all over the place. (I think I might have a Bookwyrm account as well)
