I really enjoy the art of vinyl records but almost non of the rest. The clicks, pops, off center pressings and so on are things that stick out and annoy me very quickly. Couple that with the way the sound can severely degrade as you get close to the center. If I’m feeling old school, I’ll put a cd into a player.

Most of what I’ve picked up recently is on CD. Some stuff I’ll buy both but it’s getting more and more rare. I’ve been burned too many times with albums that are poorly pressed and I’m not playing the returns game.

@dustinrue I’m totally with you. It’s sad how little artists invest in good artwork and things for CD releases. I’ve dreamt for a while of making a “Criterion Collection for music” where we’d do reissues of classic albums on CD, and include a ton of artwork, pictures, and liner notes. (1/2)
