Well this was not what I expected to find. The file system of the worker node my pod keeps being placed on is corrupt and it is causing all kinda of issues.

I have installed a lot of apps into Kubernetes, build my own images and deployed them and all of that. I have one that I simply cannot get a shell into and I am stumped as to why. Additionally, the app itself is not emitting logs though my entrypoint can perfectly fine. I'm confudled.

Most of what I’ve picked up recently is on CD. Some stuff I’ll buy both but it’s getting more and more rare. I’ve been burned too many times with albums that are poorly pressed and I’m not playing the returns game.

I really enjoy the art of vinyl records but almost non of the rest. The clicks, pops, off center pressings and so on are things that stick out and annoy me very quickly. Couple that with the way the sound can severely degrade as you get close to the center. If I’m feeling old school, I’ll put a cd into a player.

Actual good news:
Switch 2 announced yesterday. I personally looking forward to a more powerful, portable Nintendo device that fits comfortably in my hands.
I took the controls apart on my 25 year old portable CD player and sprayed contact cleaner onto the buttons. The buttons are now actually responsive without pressing so hard the lid hits the disc.

Actually, never mind I am still working heavily with Azure, it's going to be a bad day

On one hand, it's neat that @ivory can connect to a pixelfed server, but on the other it kinda serves as a reminder that pixelfed is just mastodon with different expectations and formatting.

45 minutes into the day and I'm already annoyed. Starting my day having slept horribly, first Slack ping of the day is for a ticket I can't do anything about because of bullshit red tape but it "needs to be done now” and I have an Azure environment I can't provision because Azure is being extremely Azure.

Really did some work tonight with #Terraform against #Azure. When you get comfy with Terraform and the state, you can move things around if you really need to without destroying and recreating resources.
As side note, Azure still remains extremely unfun to work with.

I have not dug into the data structures stored in Redis to see if there is something that would cause this but I suspect some kind of incrementing ID that is lost in Dragonfly if it switches between instances. It is supposed to replicate but...who knows

Having swapped real Redis back in, at this point I can basically confirm that running #Mastodon with DragonflyDB as a Redis replacement and using the @ivory client (at least but possibly not limited to) results in my timeline breaking after a few days. Where broken means it no longer refreshes. The only fix was to either restart the DragonflyDB instances or clear the client cache in Ivory. Something about the data stored in DragonflyDB.

The reason I'm not impressed with today's AI is because we had Bonzi Buddy in the late 90s. There has been no real progress made since then.

Using #Azure cli to manage Key Vault secrets, you can’t run the command and provide the secret data, you must provide it on the cli itself. Under normal, default conditions, this will store the secret value in your shell history in plain text. You can avoid this by disabling shell history for that session or do something like export HISTIGNORE="secret" which will avoid storing any "secet" command in your history.
