@kimlockhartga Most of the contractors I've known are not big-pictire thinkers at all, but they all went through the supply chain breakdown during COVID that drove prices through the roof. You'd think they would have learned a little from that experience.

Wait... lumber, specifically? Because lumber is a major US export. Are they talking about certain specialty woods? Because there's a cedar farm you can see from space just like 50 miles west of me.

@cy 30% of the softwood lumber (like pine) used in the US comes from Canada. Most of that is used in construction.
