Why did Apple invent the new “Apple Intelligence” brand instead of reusing/repurposing/recycling the old “Genius” brand (like “iTunes Genius” music matching/recs)? Do people associate it too much now with “Genius Bar” and human help?
Or the Siri brand? Because that brand is too worn? Or because they don’t have confidence in the new stuff and feel a need to keep the Siri untainted if the new stuff pulls a Tay?

@max I think they want to "own" the term AI. They see the writing on the wall about how big it will be, and they're using their current clout to get into the brains of normies as what they think of when they hear "AI".
