Absolute #banger of a #song from back in the day. It was on the download.com preview album from #BascomHill called Maybe. But it seems this particular song is by #Playtone, a #band I can no longer find anything about. In fact, it seems my downloaded #MP3 file and this #YouTube #video is the only evidence I can find of this song online. Enjoy it!

[#]Loops might turn out to be pretty good. It lacks good editing tools and partnered audio like #TikTok, but it's still in pretty early development and they seem to have solved the biggest problem for a platform like this: video playback is smooth, snappy, and there is no laggy loading. The rest will come. :face_smile:

I know I've said it before, but it's weird to put a bunch of demands on your public profile before allowing someone the honor of following you. Or to preemptively berate someone for following you without having submitted an application and essay on why they're worthy of subscribing to your public posts.

This #TikTok ban is gonna cook the #Democrat party. So many normies love it, so many businesses use it, and it will be very easy to spin this as having happened on the Democrats' watch. #Biden took one of your only joys left in this shithole. #Trump was the one that tried so valiantly to save it.

Jon Stewart was right in saying the #Democrats can't help but just sit on their own balls at every turn. Democrats are a disappointment at every turn. They missed their chance to turn it around.

When the big #Mastodon instances implemented their #AI rules about accounts that only post AI #content, what bothered me was the pretentious wording in their rules.

"Profiles that only post AI-generated content will not be tolerated."

C'mon Jack. Get over yourselves. I understand the intention, but this precludes all kinds of content and themed accounts that aren't hurting anyone or junking up your precious instance. It's very #cringe, IMO.

Ha! Been struggling getting my #live #antenna #TV working right with #Jellyfin tonight so we could watch a live #countdown for #NYE tonight. Unfortunately Jellyfin doesn't have access to a GPU for #transcoding (#VM in a CPU-only #server). Using a dual-core #Protectli device for the antenna ingestion. Neither machine doing well transcoding. Finally figured it out by having #TVHeadend copy the video codec from the antenna and transcoding the audio to #AAC locally. Load is about 20% each, now. :D

Am I the only one that hates the #OnPropertyChanged and #binding paradigm that permeates #WPF and #Avalonia #UI #design? It feels like its the "proper" way to set up the UI, but it's so much cruft when, for example, you've got to actually do something with the values in the view at the end of it's life anyway. Why not just populate values at the initialization and read them when you need them?

I can understand for some interactive use cases, but having it be the standard seems bloated to me.
