I put the old Linux drive back in because fuck it fine I'll reboot and run the app Silicon Power requires logs from before they'll do a warranty swap and guess what?

Okay. I copied files off my Windows drive to my laptop's Windows partition, and I've copied files off my old faulty Linux drive to my laptop's Linux partition.

Fantastic. That's $20 well spent.

And now I have a 500 GB flash drive. (Shame the 1TB drive I had Linux on is faulty.)

So my solid state drive enclosure came. Yay!

I plugged up my faulty Linux drive and.... there's no sign of the partition table. Sigh.

Just to make sure it wasn't the adapter, I swapped in my old Windows drive and that popped right up and opened fine!

So I guess after work I'll reboot back into my Mint liveUSB and try to recover the partition of my old Linux drive and see if I can pull files off it...

Titan-A's bridge being as dark as it was made no sense, imo.

I don't buy the excuses that dark bridges are more cinematic. Star Trek '09 flashbanged us every time that bridge came on screen. :ac_laughter:

The sun went down right at 5pm and the temperature is in single digits (F) - and we still don't have a working porch light or foyer light. :squidqueasy:

Signed up. Once it's approved/unlocked I'll move my Proton stuff over and give it a look before deciding if I plunk down a subscription there or give Fastmail a go.
