Perhaps the best bass intro I have ever heard is one I simply cannot find online.

Kendrick Oliver & The New Life Jazz Orchestra do a version of "Wade in the Water" featuring Christian McBride. It's on a CD called Welcome To New Life.

The bass intro is unparalleled Christian McBride. It destroys ... and the arrangement leads into the catchiest Wade in the Water you've ever heard.

@catflyhigh @aarbrk Those songs are on the CD, but the track I'm talking about isn't on that compilation (which I also have and it's very nice).
