No reason given to the public, but the judge postponed Rudy's trial to Tuesday. This is odd, because someone (not necessarily Rudy) posted to his X account at 10:30 this morning, when he should already have been in court. Typically, you need something like an accident, death in the family, whatever, to warrant a postponed after being a no-show. Even those things tend to be reported to your own lawyer.
This is puzzling.

It's probably taking longer than he hoped to find some legislator who's willing to re-write the law so he can be pardoned out of a civil judgement.

Heh. That would take a constitutional amendment. Or a rewrite to the bankruptcy exemptions that includes World Series rings and Lauren Bacall's car, which I think is just as unlikely.
Although, you never know. Exemption schedules are written by the individual states, even though bankruptcy is federal. That's why everyone goes to Florida to declare bankruptcy. You keep the most stuff there. Maybe their legislature will help him.
But I doubt it.
