Make no mistake, the timing of these tariffs is to create chaos in the Canadian elections. That's why they're immediate and unclear. All the worse because Canada and the US trade under the deal made by Trump in his first term.

I hope It backfires. A good first step would be banning Twitter in Canada until post-election.

Wouldn't there be a surge in UK growth if there were a major hospital and clinic building (and staffing) programme.

In addition to the direct growth, there would be less time off work and lower healthcare costs. We'd also redirect money from private health firms to more productive areas.
