As an optimizer from way back, I'm a bit surprised to find myself so dismissive of Peter Attia's optimizations of zone-2 cardio.

@philipbrewer Yeah, sometimes guys like Attia and Maffetone get a little bit overzealous maybe? But perhaps it's because they end up working with a number of top end and highly talented athletes and what those people are trying to achieve can gain a great benefit from a much more targeted sort of training.
But for those of us who are just trying to improve our well-being and enjoyment of life, we're probably better off getting the time and fun in, keeping in mind too much low intensity

@IzabelaKaramia Yeah, I certainly understand the "optimizer" mindset. If you're either a high-end athlete or a high-power executive, it might be the case that spending an extra half-hour getting random higher- and lower- intensity exercise would really detract from getting in everything else you need to do.
