This has been an un*expectedly difficult day, emotionally. Things were on a pretty even keel, nothing went wrong, I just felt everything heavily.
Fortunately, I've gotten much better about not just accepting emotional upheaval as an appropriate mindset at bedtime. So tonight I prescribe myself journal-writing, pen exercises, or a meticulous and/or repetitive task. I'm actually thinking some decipherment might do the trick, especially if the topic is bland...
