I made some muffins today so thought I’d ‘nip’ up the footpath with some to thank the egg man. Met his wife and a small grandperson, who immediately took charge of the muffins. Small person was fascinated by my walking leggings and kept stroking them, much to granny’s embarrassment. Going back through neighbouring farm, its young border collie decided to follow me home so I had to take her back. Another long chat ensued and also cuddles with the farm cat. Got zero else done but it was nice.

@louisa_ people and animals were all very friendly! The border collie is still a baby really and teething! I kept thinking she’d get bored of me and go home but bored is not yet in her vocabulary.

@louisa_ they have a spring at the farm and she enjoyed jumping around in it with much barking…then shaking the water off.

@helenclayton awww 😁 Sounds like a happy pup!

Rosey is going to miss the snow - but being able to go swimming again will make up for it somewhat. We've had a lovely week but I'm starting to get cabin fever now. Think we might finally be able to move the car tomorrow.

@louisa_ I hope she doesn’t follow everyone…hoping it’s because we’ve met a few times.

I wouldn’t mind being cut off for a bit but can understand the cabin fever. Has the thaw set in there?

It's finally starting to melt now. The blankets of snow looked a bit saggy today and the thick sheet ice is starting to turn to slush. Between Christmas, then New Year week, and this snow, it feels like the year is finally going to start properly tomorrow!
