@nixCraft@mastodon.social people will get mad at you that you don’t do any work (because they can’t see what you do) when things are working, and when things are broken they will be mad you don’t do any work (because why would things be broken?). It’s unspoken that you essentially are always at the receiving end of some beancounter wanting to reduce costs

The best way to find out the unknown owner of a service is to turn off the service and see who screams. If no one screams, it was an unnecessary service and can be deleted.

There is no practical reason for git merge or fetch. Copy your file to another folder and remove the git folder. Pull the folder again and move the file back. Commit, push and you are done.
