So, my eldest just got a new computer for school and Christmas. He said to me, "I am going to run #Linux on it as I am not happy at all with Windows 11 and the ads, the privacy, all of it" I asked what distro, he said "Debian SID". I warned him that would not be 100% stable, and hard on a new user. That was 2 weeks ago.
Computer came in, he took it to his room, 2 hours later asked for help defeating the secure boot settings, and I helped him, then he asked me to help install #Fedora.
He has been learning the system, getting his steam games going, and had some issues with the GPU. I got on the forums looking for some insight, and who has the most useful posts? @vwbusguy
Thanks man, well done, keep it up!

The more I see all the the cloudy things in the world, the more I want to ensure I have a current git repo of all the software I use so I can re-create things after our corporate masters decide we can't own things without a license. #linux #freebsd
