I'm looking for some new music to listen to while I work. I just don't know what to call the stuff I'm looking for. Cheerful ambient?? Superchill electronic?? No lyrics. Not too moody. Not too oonz oonz (but a little beat is okay). Not too sleepy, but not too peppy either. Doesn't have to be electronic - acoustic is fine, too.

Can anybody help me put a genre name to this kind of thing? Or better yet, point me at some artists and/or albums?

@mitten Try Groove Salad on soma.fm

Electronic Ambient is a thing. Soma FM is an internet radio site with lots of different stations but Groove Salad is a pretty reliable choice.

Also, Ive found that Trip-Hop as a genre is pretty good. I like Pandora's selection of trip hop artists (Morcheeba, Portishead, Thievery Corporation, etc.)
