Nazi-Elon wants access to government payment systems[1]?

Remember that he wants the nazi site formerly known as Twitter to be a payments thing and used to be involved in paypal.

No doubt he could force folks to be dependent on using his company's services to facilitate interaction with the government. EG acquiring ~150 million customers (tax payers) for himself overnight.

Its kind of 'meh' but it was a fun little diversion to read (and "play") this interactive article about cozy video games: https://www.reuters.com/graphics/VIDEO-GAMES/MENTAL-HEALTH/akpeewkqgpr/

The specific games mentioned never really hooked me (Stardew valley is the most engaging one I've played) but I do appreciate the cozy aspects of other games (eg Valheim).

I'm maybe halfway or three-quarters through Baldur's Gate III. It requires longer play sessions and more energy from me, which I haven't had much of lately.

Instead, I've been defaulting to casual castle-building in Valheim. Valheim is great because you can choose what to do for the time/energy you have: boss fights are high-energy, or exploration or socializing for chill play-sessions, with plenty in between.

There is no such thing. There is only what makes sense to the majority of people who happen to share your same bubble.

An appeal to "common sense" is just an appeal for ignorance, lack of empathy, and social experience.

Reflecting on Google open sourcing the Pebble firmware, and I'm reminded of the funny / sad / weird time in 2024 when Winamp was briefly open sourced with a bizarre license that said you couldn't forl the code, and also which somehow still included proprietary code before the source code was ultimately yanked down from github but not before being forked thousands of times.

By all appearances, Google's act of open sourcing their software was done much much better.
