I'm trying to convince my husband a cat is a better idea. We can now afford cat deposits. His concerns, how do we keep it from counter, piano, and harp? my questions, I have all kind of electronics around me. How do I keep the cat from pawing the cords or braille displays. How do you totals handle the litterboxes? Tell me your strategies. Hubby is very clean. He's sighted, but I need to convince him this is easiou than the rabbit. I just don't think I can handle another one dying so fast.

@EdenLinnea
It depends so much on the individual cat. If you are able to adopt an adult cat whose habits are known, you can try to find a non-jumper that stays off counters. Our current cat is a very minimal jumper. He has gradually learned to climb onto the bed or couch, with our encouragement, but I’ve never seen him even attempt a counter or table.
The Breeze Pad type of litterbox makes liquid waste easy to deal with and keeps smell and tracking of litter to a minimum.
