Question for my nerdier-than-most friends here on #HamRadio Mastodon...
I've used #GoDaddy as my registrar since the '90s, I think. Long time. They were cool back then. They've become more icky since.
Not moving my primary domain 'cuz it's too much work. But I'm also holding a domain for my son who doesn't have any complex needs like I do. Just an email alias that points to his gmail - that's IT.
Can you suggest a registrar that's fair priced, & good to work with?

@kelvin0mql Not sure how they compare in pricing, but I've been using iwantmyname for a while and have no complaints

@vxo iwantmyname sold to some conglomerate awhile back (https://wellington.scoop.co.nz/?p=121144), I just found out recently. I suggest moving off them when you can, the original team and founders are no-longer at the company.

@kelvin0mql personally use Gandi (via AWS admittedly). They (Gandi, not AWS) always seemed like reasonable "good guys" but I'm sure somebody will tell me about all the skeletons in their closet that I haven't heard about.

@kelvin0mql I think some people find hover.com to be more expensive than some registrars, but I have used them for a while and I have had nothing but positive experiences.

@kelvin0mql I've been using DNSExit for a number of years, with no issues.
