How can I make #swimming more interesting? Right now I swim back & forth and every time I take a look at the clock, I’m amazed how little time has passed - it’s so boring 😴
Right now I just power through my 30-60 minutes until I feel like I’m “done”, but it feels like a chore & not very enjoyable

@JensJot Is the view at least sometimes pleasant?

@JensJot I manage it by breaking it down into chunks, and using each section to focus on something. Once the first is for warming up and the last for cooling down, it’s not hard to find things to focus on, I find. Another strategy I had was to get one of those waterproof booklets with training programmes in, using fins and floats; that was kind of fun for a while. Where I swim there’s usually the same people there at the same time, so there’s also often a bit of camaraderie.

@JensJot I did stuff like trying to tell or continue the story I was just reading while only using words starting with the same letter. A for the first lap, B for the second... It's also a way for me to count laps if I want to know.

@Shuhejla Oh, that’s something different! Maybe I’ll try a variant of that next time I swim 😅
