Toot

It wasn’t that long ago when most of the fandom ridiculed Action Masters as the only official #Transformers that didn’t transform.

Today Hasbro just keeps licensing their characters out to third parties that make modern versions of Action Masters, and fans are gobbling them up.

Is it just the price? Do fans simply prefer buying $6 Blokees over $25 Deluxe transforming toys? I’m not hating, I just don’t get the appeal.

@mighty_orbot @TFW2005 Yeah but Action Masters were kinda junky and articulation wasn't great and Bumblebee was same size as Devastator.

Blokees are fun even if just as desk toys.

And Deluxes often aren't worth the 25 bucks. Usually have to buy some third party filler kits to hide the gaps and such.

And I barely ever transform Transformers anyways so prefer more accurate robot mode figures (which be why I bought the AMK Pro TLK Optimus and want those AMK mini DotM Optimus and Megatron)

@mighty_orbot @TFW2005 Oh and I'm still being told Studio Series 86 Optimus is the best G1 toy ever made and like, I had it. For a whole month. And it was totally not worth the £85 I spent (and more on labels and such). Not a big fan of G1 Prime but I'd rather just have a cheap non-transforming figure if his toon self than SS86 again. His Legacy Deluxe is fun but labels/paint/smokestacks I've paid more than 25

Also not worth the £168 it got bid up to when I ebayed it but that's their choice. :O
