My personal tip for longish transfers in Paris from another train station to Gare du Nord: Take the tube to Gare de lβEst and spend time there (if the weather is not great) in the shops (la Fnac!) and cafΓ©s, or wonder in the area before walking over to Gare de Nord (just 10 minute walk).

This wonderful covered market is about halfway between the two stations. Couldnβt resist getting some (more) goats cheese π They also serve very nice lunches and you can sit comfortably to eat on site or take away.

@ElenLeFoll where do trains from GdN head to? Belgium? Normandy?

@hattom North of France, Belgium, Germany, and London, of course!

@ElenLeFoll ah ok!
I think I misworded my first question ;)
I didn't mean to ask about the photo, but rather wondering if GdN is where Eurostar to London docks.
That'll teach me not to toot while watching the skiing!
