@lich_silvae Unfortunately that's going to make things tad interesting w.r.t. your desired timeline. Let me check with our HR. they used to do work visas for candidates that are right fit but I haven't seen that happen for last 3 years or so.

I worked as a psychiatric care technician for a local hospital assisting RNs. I believe the Canadian job listings have it as "Behaviour Technician" or "Mental Health Assistant"

Indeed as had a handful of listings, but I'm unsure if the Job Bank or elsewhere would be the better place to check.

I think if you go as a tourist you can stay up to 6 mos, though you would not be able to work. If yoy must be across the border, you can go and work on getting a job during those six months. Also, registering for school will get you a longer stay, but will not get you any revenue. You could check what work you are allowed to do on a student visa, and what minimum course load is required.
