Workshop progress..
Concrete floor got poured last week and this week siding is going up. Third photo is looking from workshop towards back of our property. The trees behind the ladder will be taken out since that's where main house is going to go.

Workshop floor is getting poured tomorrow. So our builder's crew hustled today to insulate the floor. So far looks like workshop being ready and livable by may is going to happen. It won't get used as my workshop until main home is built year after. But I am happy for any suggestions on things you would do if this was your shop. It has full bath in back corner so I don't track sawdust in the house but other than that, it's full open 600 sqft shop.

I used to come to Chicago for work almost every month for couple of days. But since changing jobs, I haven’t done that in almost 6 years. Although I don’t miss travel, I do miss few things like small pierogie place behind our office in downtown, renaissance food hall and food trucks in downtown during summer.

when I moved from my first home around 2001, I had to donate lot of my old gear. most of it I don''t miss. but there are two pieces I really wish I had made space for... one was only Alpha desktop that DEC made. I almost had redhat running on it. and second one is HP Appollo/Domain graphics workstation that I was still working on getting DomainOS tapes for.

Workshop/bunkie/studio appt build is continuing along nicely. Next week is for siding and then concrete pour inside for the floor.... we are still on track for spring completjion. Now to get this house ready for sale in spring time frame. Inevitable match towards retirement continues.

well... that officially sucked! but I seem to be heading in the right direction now. had a good full meal first time since 5th. had a fuul nights sleep last night without waking up coughing my lungs out.
Last time I was this sick was more than 2 decades ago. Now to gain my strength back and slowly get back to normal. and oh... I have lost about 8lbs that I would like to gain back as well.

hooo boy! that's been rough 4 days. I didn't take my flu shots this year when I should have and guess what I came down with on thursday :(
on plus side, this helped me drop weight faster than weight watchers .. 6lbs down in just under 4 days. Hopefully this is last of it
