@april Look for the Hasan Minhaj special 'Homecoming King'. He does a good rendition of it when talking about his early computer experience.

He goes 'ding, ding, ding' at one point. Actual dings don't equate to a modem connecting, but a person saying 'ding, ding, ding' certainly does!

@atax1a @april also we left out the short, quiet hiss between the bongs and the final success thingy, because although it's part of the experience to us it feels like it's quiet enough that it's kinda off the lower end of what we can represent in text when we're also representing the other parts
