I’d been putting it off as not feeling very eloquent with words and thought the holiday week should afford more thinking time - what it actually did was make me realise that, in waiting to be well-researched and better informed, I ran the risk of losing the opportunity to be heard.

And me too. I must admit it can make me feel a bit hopeless as they seem to ignore public sentiment and roll on ahead with destructive policies, but pushing back is important regardless. We cannot provide them with silent assent.
