Another camera from my Dad's collection. Not the best or rarest or most valuable. But I like it and will try taking some pictures. One tiny light leak in the bellows that I think I can fix (I have "liquid electrical tape"). It's a Voigländer Bessa 66.
A question for #filmphotography / #filmisnotdead folks: what is that dial and how do I use it. Doesn't seem to actually set anything, so I guess it's a kind of calculator?

@14mission That dial looks like a depth of field calculator. Set your distance to the subject at the top and the dial tells you how far either side of that distance will be in focus at different aperture settings on the lens.

So it’s a Circular #SlideRule ! Outstanding!

@14mission Nice camera ! The dial gives the depth of field for a given diaphragm aperture. Set the distance with the outer ring an read min/max distance in focus on each side of the brown/white stripes

@14mission I think that's a depth of field calculator. Set your focus distance at the arrow, pick the horse shoe shape for your stop, and the ends tell you the near and far focus points.
Or, you can work out how to focus from some near point to infinity, by setting one end of a horse shoe at infinity and seeing the distance at the other end. Voila, zone focus?
Very neat gadget.

@14mission liquid electrical tape works wonders. I've fixed one I own with that.
